A wonderful article appeared several weeks ago in the WSJ, “Why China Grows So Fast” by Nobel laureate in Economics, Michael Spence. I refer you to the China Law Blog’s excellent post and discussion thread on this article (where discussion on this topic exploded in terms of the number of comments).
