Lonnie-
Have you tried to get to those links using a proxy? I'm curious to see how easy (or hard) it is to bypass the firewall and get to "banned" sites.

I was wondering the same thing as Ashley about the Venetian having difficulty filling such a large amount of rooms. But if the hotel casinos at Macau are anything like those in Vegas, which I assume they are, they will get the majority (about 60%) of their revenues from gaming alone. But will casinos be able to maximize this number if they are so restricted on advertising? I suppose time will tell, but I have a hunch that the word will get around pretty quickly about these massive and lavish casinos.

I can’t even begin to imagine how massive the Venetian is going to be. However, the article mentions some doubt about whether or not there are going to be enough people visiting the casino to fill the 3,000 rooms. On top of that the other article shows the difficulty the casinos have been having in advertising to Mainland China. So I guess my question is whether or not the minimal advertising the casinos are allowed to use is going to be enough to keep the new Venetian open.
